Dear Backers,
Thank you for your incredible support for the FATfreq x HBB Deuce. We’re thrilled to share that we crossed the 4,000 pre-order mark earlier this week! In response to valuable feedback from our community, we’re excited to announce an enhancement to your FATfreq x HBB Deuce pre-order package. We’ve decided to include an impedance bass adapter with every pre-order to further elevate your listening experience.
Our development team has been working diligently to determine the optimal value and circuitry for this impedance adapter. Designed to enhance the sub-bass under 150Hz, the adapter increases the bass shelf by ~10dB, delivering powerful, deep, and controlled bass that adds significant impact to your audio experience. Since the ideal configuration is not readily available on the market, we have taken the initiative to design and build it ourselves. Production is already underway, and we are committed to delivering these adapters to you as soon as possible.
For customers who selected the 3.5mm unbalanced jack option, your package will include a 3.5mm impedance adapter. Those who chose the 4.4mm balanced jack option will receive a more premium 4.4mm balanced impedance adapter.
Please note that your choice of cable termination directly affects the configuration of the impedance adapter you will receive. To ensure a smooth shipping process, we kindly ask that you confirm your cable choice by September 15th. If you wish to upgrade from a 3.5mm cable to a 4.4mm cable, please use this link for a top-up. Your packages will start shipping on the 16th of September.
Additionally, we are pleased to offer you exclusive access to fatfreq.cococart.co, where you can find heavily discounted accessories, upgrade cables, adapters, and carry cases, available only for HBB Deuce backers. This is a special opportunity to enhance your package with premium items before shipping. Do take advantage of these deals and add the perfect finishing touches to your order!
We appreciate your continued support and look forward to delivering the best audio experience with your FATfreq x HBB Deuce.
Best regards,
The FATfreq Team
Dear HBB Deuce Backers,
Thank you all for your incredible patience and continued support. We understand the growing anticipation for the Deuce, and we want to provide a detailed update on the current status. The FATfreq x HBB Deuce is all set and ready to go — However, there’s one final component we are waiting on: the impedance adapter.
The slight delay is due to the extra time we’ve spent perfecting the adapter, ensuring it meets the same high standards as the Deuce itself. We didn’t want to settle for anything less than the best, which is why we opted for a more challenging approach, involving several design iterations. Each configuration was meticulously tested to achieve the best possible performance. Rather than choosing off-the-shelf components, we carefully selected and fine-tuned each part to ensure it perfectly complements the Deuce’s sound signature. From enhancing the frequency response to improving the bass power and tone, every detail was scrutinized. To further elevate the performance, we used pure silver wires for the internal circuitry, ensuring superior conductivity and uncompromised sound quality for a refined, immersive listening experience.
We’ve attached photos below to give you a glimpse into the different iterations of the impedance adapter, along with final product images of both the 3.5mm and 4.4mm versions.
We are currently completing the production of impedance adapters, with the new shipping date set for September 30th. This will be the last delay notice we are expecting, as everything else is fully on track. We sincerely appreciate your understanding as we take these final steps to ensure the highest quality, and we are confident the result will be well worth the wait.
Thank you again for your support. We look forward to delivering the FATfreq x HBB Deuce to you soon!
Best regards,
The FATfreq Team

Technology
Developed by FATfreq in Singapore
Bass Cannon™
(Patent Pending) Using proprietary dynamic woofers, bass chambers and acoustic damping networks, FATfreq was able to design the deepest bass ever recorded of over 30dB, expertly controlled below 150Hz with zero mid-range bleed. A FATfreq innovation pioneered and perfected for sheer bass power.
Sonar La Trompa™
Inspired by the anatomy of the traditional french horn, FATfreq uses exponential horn curvature for gain control and to improve treble tonality via acoustics. Providing you with Smooth, natural sounding highs, grounded by a nice timbre in the mid and low frequencies.
PhaseAlign
The absence of a DSP in IEMs means that we have to match the phase of multi-way systems via Acoustic delay. Using proprietary structures, we were able to align the low, mid and high frequencies such that they reach your eardrum in a coherent manner. Giving you the sound accuracy and resolution demanded on stage and studio.
Care Tips
Removing 2pin Cables
When removing 2-pin cables during cable rolling, please ensure you pull the cables straight out in a careful, fully parallel motion. Avoid any twisting or angling, as this can cause damage to the IEM. Our recessed 2-pin design prevents loose connections and protects the actual 2-pin conductors from bending or breaking, but improper removal may lead to breakage. Always take care to protect your IEMs during cable changes.
